Since this article was originally published, Hamuq has expanded its Canadian-made mattress collection and updated some of its product terms.

The Original Hybrid is $999 CAD for a queen. The new Organic Hybrid is $1,999 CAD for a queen, with GOLS certified organic latex and a GOTS certified organic cotton cover.

Both mattresses include a 120-night trial and a 15-year warranty, and both are designed and manufactured in Canada.

Is There Anything I Would Change About The Original Hamuq Hybrid Mattress-In-A-Box?

We love our Hamuq mattress, but if there were one thing I would change, it would be better edge support, as I noticed slight dipping on the sides. It isn’t a big deal for us as we got the King size, so there’s plenty of room, but I can see this could present an issue if you order the smaller versions.

Also, just so you know the mattress is quite heavy which could be an issue if you don’t have help. We asked our neighbor to help us bring the mattress box up two flights of stairs. It would be helpful to have more handles on the back of the box for ease of lifting. Perhaps Hamuq could implement that in the future.
