I dunno if you know this about me but I’m a huge fan of Halloween. I guess it must stem from the fact that I didn’t grow up with this fun occasion when I was a kid. There were no Halloween celebrations in Poland back in the day. When I came to Canada I discovered this awesome tradition and it has quickly become my favorite. I love dressing up and decorating my house with all things spooky. Now that I live in a house it was time to decorate outside but I needed something not to elaborate to create. So I came up with a very easy and spooky Halloween spiderweb door that’s still super cool. I’m going to show you how you can do it too.
How To Make Easy And Spooky Halloween Spiderweb Door
You honestly only need three things to make this Halloween spiderweb door. It couldn’t be any easier than that, right? It will be helpful if you can have somebody else help you put up this decoration. One person can hold the yarn in place and the other person can tape it up to the door.
What Will You Need
- White Yarn
- Plastic spider (I got mine at Dollarama)
- Tape
- Scissors
Spooky Halloween Spiderweb Door – Step #1
Now you need to start shaping your Halloween spider door. First, you start by making a circle out of yarn. Then you attach the other pieces of yarn to shape a spider web. You can do so by just folding the yarn over the created circle as you can see in the picture below. Then you will need to tape the spider web to the other side of the door on the inside to hold it in place.
Spooky Halloween Spiderweb Door – Step #2
Once you have run all the spider web lines you can proceed to make another circle so to make it obvious this is a spider web. It will look something like the image below.
Here’s a closer look at how the circles were made. Don’t worry if they don’t look absolutely perfect. It’s about the final effect you will see from away that really matters. You don’t have to be a perfectionist in this case. I know, I’m one too ha, ha. But don’t stress about it too much.
Spooky Halloween Spiderweb Door – Step #3
Now you can add some extra lines across the spider web to make it look a little weathered. Then, of course, you need to hang up your spider from the top of the door. This way it looks like the spider is just coming down to its web. And voila that’s basically the final touch to make your spider web all official.
This is how the final project will look once it’s all finished.
Conclusion
As I said it’s not that difficult to make a spooky Halloween spiderweb door like this. All you need is some basic tools and a little patience. Feel free to use my pictures as an example to guide you. I’m all about having elaborate Halloween decorations but sometimes you can take the simple route. One day I’ll love to decorate my house like crazy but for now, simplicity may be the right answer.

this looks so real, like it would actually spook me as I’m afraid of spiders XD
Haha, that’s a nice compliment. I think it’s pretty effective.
This looks like a great project! Thank you! Canβt wait to try.
My pleasure. I hope you’ll enjoy making it.
Well done. You make the spooky spider web so easy. I think I’m going to have to try it. It’s fun to be able to celebrate Halloween when you come from countries that didn’t traditionally celebrate it.
I totally agree. They do stuff for Halloween in Poland now but not when I grew up there.
This will be a fun project to do with my 7-year-old son. He loves all things creepy and crawly.
Oh, awesome. Yes, I think he’s gonna love it. Have fun π
Wow! This is so cool! Love that it’s a fun and simple DIY! Very cute!

This looks so good! Also, you’ve explained it pretty well. Love it!
Oh, thanks. That’s so sweet of you to say. It’s pretty simple but a step-by-step is always good to show exactly what I mean.
Neat idea, I love your spider!
Thank you so much. I appreciate your kind words.
Great details! We made a similar one that hangs on our forms tree. With a black light on it, it creates a great spooky effect as well! Thanks for the share!
That sounds absolutely wonderful. I would love to see a picture of it. I bet it looks so spooky π».
