25 Great Blog Topics That Will Actually Generate Interest

Are you struggling to come up with blog topics that people will actually read? That is what every blogger goes through at least once or twice during their blogging journey. Usually when you start a blog you have a specific idea about what you want to write about. This interest area becomes what is called a ‘niche‘ and it can be very specific or more broader in nature. Then you start writing some blog posts and hope that they’ll generate traffic to you blog. But even if you write amazing content sometimes the traffic just doesn’t come. This can often be very frustrating and discouraging.

I’m here to help you find great blog topics that will actually generate interest to you blog. I’m also giving you my Free How To Rock Social Media – 25 Essential Tips & Tools for Small Biz & Bloggers Guide, which includes this list of 25 blog topics! Write About What You Know

When you start a blog it’s usually with a specific purpose in mind. As I mentioned before that purpose becomes your blog’s ‘niche‘. It’s what separates your blog from other general blogs out there. When you write your posts you’re using your own style and your own special way of writing. This can offer your readers a unique view on the subject. You don’t have to be an expert in everything but you do need to write with confidence. Whether you’re into food, travel, beauty, fashion, blogging, marketing and/or any other subject you have to remember what makes you different and use that to your advantage. Let it guide you to write your content and don’t compare yourself to others. A lot of us get tempted to want to be like the popular bloggers out there. After all we view them as being successful and we want to have some of that success ourselves. That is completely natural as long as you don’t loose sight of who you are. You have to remember that success isn’t always immediate; it can take some time to achieve it so just keep at it.

Create A Great Headline For Your Blog Topics

Writing an awesome article is only half the work. The second step is writing a catchy headline that will attract people to come to your blog. You might be really great at this or you may need a little help finding that headline that truly stands out. One simple way is to just Google the topic and see what comes up. This will give you an idea of what posts come up on the first page of Google. You can also find a list of related search topics that people are typing into Google. But you can go a step further. I recently found a great tool by CoSchedule called ‘Headline Analyzer‘. This simple and did I mention free tool will analyze your headline, give it a score and point out its strengths and weaknesses. How did I ever go without this? I’ve started using this amazing tool and my headlines have improved significantly. Below is this post’s headline analyzed and all the other headlines that had a lower score. I suggest you start using this now!

Offer Something Special To Your Readers

Another great idea to attract readers to your blog is to offer them something special in return. It doesn’t have to be anything expensive or too complicated. It can be as simple as a free printable, a pdf, a video, a discount for a product or a fun contest or giveaway. You don’t have to offer this for every post you do but you should at least have one of these offers on your blog. This type of incentive is called a ‘lead magnet‘. It’s a great way to attract readers to your blog and to also get them to sign up for your newsletter. In order to get your free offer they will provide you with their e-mail address and you can now start to build your e-mail subscribers list. You can create multiple lead magnets for a variety of blog posts. Additionally, it’s an opportunity to partner up with somebody such as a fellow blogger, local business or a brand. You mention the partner and in return they offer you a product, a service or a discount you can then pass on to your readers. It’s a win-win situation for all parties. For full disclosure purposes, make sure you advise your readers that this particular post is a sponsored post or a post that includes affiliate links.

Collaborate With Others

One of the most successful ways for your content to generate more traffic is by collaborating with others. By doing so you’re getting input from another expert and giving them an opportunity to be featured on your blog. It also gives you an opportunity to reach additional audience. When you share your new blog post on social media make sure you tag the expert in your post to increase share-ability. Most often than not the expert will re-post or re-tweet this content. For more tips on how to stand out on social media read my 6 Savvy Tips To Grow Your Online Presence article. On the other hand you can reach out to other writers and content creators to be featured on their blog. This will give your blog a very important ‘backlink‘ which means there will be a link to your blog on the other person’s blog. This ‘backlink’ will increase your blog’s Search Engine Optimization (SEO) ranking. It means your blog will now rate higher in Google!
